Wals is mostly flat some what hilly topography. Situated close to the sea, it gets a constant onshore, offshore breeze. There are large amounts of wide flat underutilized land all over but the farms and their neighbors are conservative, very protective of the natural environment and their unique scenery. Most people here are highly educated and enjoy a affluent lifestyle. At the moment, most energy comes from the ample North Sea gas fields. However, they are quickly running out and much of the gas is now imported and the price is increasing. The GDP is USD $35,000

We can situate a tidal+wind mix on the coast, and possibly on offshore islands as well so the populace can continue to have their scenery. Solar panels on top of roofs can also be installed to supplement the needs of homes and such. As for industrially concentrated areas or high energy demand areas, a nuclear plant can also be introduced to sustain the needs.

The use of wind energy from the constant breeze combined with hydroelectric power would be suitable to the climate of Wales. The use of local renewable energy could also decrease the financial burden of purchasing foreign gas.

Turning to wind power would be an effective alternative for Wales. Not only that it is affordable for them, their topography of hills and flat surface could also be used to strategically station wind turbines, hence optimising the conversion of wind energy to electricity.

Due to the hilly topography and the geographic location of Wales (near the sea. Wind turbines can be set up, although they are relatively costly, according to the GDP of Wales, it should be affordable

Wales can try wind power due to their geographical location as it will save money for them and also to make the hills LOOK BETTER

Another alternative versions are tidal energy because wales are in the coastline and it will benefit them

According to the location of Wales, it is nearby the ocean. Wales would receive a lot of wind from the onshore, offshore breeze. Wales could use this geographical advantage and benefitting the locals by building wind turbines. Not only it is renewable, but it does not damage the environment nor affecting the living quality of the locals. The building cost might be high, however, it is a great investment for the future.

With it's current topography, Wales should consider wind energy as their renewable energy source. They not only can benefit from the breeze but it also helps in reducing their expenses on gas.

Since gas would run out, the price is increasing and it causes pollution, it would be better for them to use things that wouldn't run out.

I suggest wales to use wind power to produce energy. As there are a lot of wide flat underused land in Wales, They could use those land to build the wind farm.

Although most citizens in wales are highly educated and enjoy a affluent lifestyle, where the wind farm could possible destroy the country side environment. But wind power has the less environmental impact on wales. Therefore the Wales should uses wind powerr to produce energy

Wind energy should be a suitable energy source for Wales. Since Wales is located near the sea, there is a good amount of usable wind. Furthermore, there are plenty of unused land in Wales, where the wind turbine can be placed.

Due to a large proportion of land bordering the sea, and with extensive flat lands, wind could travel through the country, making it ideal for developing wind turbines to substitute for gas. This would be easy to legislate as a majority of citizens are very educated and supports environmental development. However, another effective alternative is tidal or even wave energy, also relating to the sea bordering geographical location of Wales. However, development would be slow as funding from the United Kingdom as a whole would needs to pass through the house of commons and house of lords, which is slow at best. This means that in order to have sustainable energy, cheaper alternatives such as biomass should be considered as substitutes until the more expensive but environmental friendly facilities are built.

Wales should look into Tidal/Waves as it's close to the sea, using renewable energy can also protect their unique scenery and natural environment.

Wales can utilize both wind and tidal energy, due to Wales having 1,200 km of coastline, it is obvious that is a geographical advantage which Wales could utilize properly to generate massive amounts of energy, which they desperately need as they now require gas imports to generate energy.

Taking consideration on the geographical location of Whales, a combination of both Wind and hydropower would be the most optimal as it is sustainable and could possibly generate infinite energy supply. While the implementation cost could be costly, considering the relatively high GDP of USD $35,000 and the fact that most people here are highly educated and enjoy a affluent lifestyle; people in Wales should be willing to fund part of the implementation costs as renewable energy sources are more environmentally friendly.

Wales should highly invest in Solar energy, as their geography with flat lands are the perfect locations to harvest most out of solar energy. As the local population are educated and has a high source of income, they should promote the use of private residential solar panels, to reduce the reliance of electricity from the government. Further more, as Wales contains a lot of shores which provides a constant onshore and offshore breezes, the placement of wind turbines would allow for a constant source of energy.

wals is near the sea,so i suggest to use tidal energy.reason I pick these tidal energy is because both renewable energy require water ,and wals got what it just need.my recommend is to use the tidal energy near the sea so it can constantly collect energy and both protect the nature.

A mixture of tidal and wind power is recommended, due to the geographic locations.

As Wales is a place that is highly protective of the environment, Coal and Gas is not recommended due to it's atmospheric pollutants.

According to the descriptions of Wales, it is recommended to have wind power. Wind power requires a topography of having either hills or shore breeze; which Wales possessed both of them. While installing wind turbines on hills might affect the scenery for some of the locals. Installing wind turbines by the shore may be an option, preferably with the choice of location away from where people would enjoy the scenery the most. Furthermore, installing tidal-electric plants would also provide a promising energy source for the people in Wales.

Wales should adopt tidal energy as there are plenty of waves near the shore. As there are large areas of flat and underutilized land in Wales, solar panels can be installed to produce energy in an environmentally friendly way while doing minimal damage to the enviornment.

To replace gas, I would suggest Wales to develop a number of renewable energy sources such as biomass energy, geothermal energy and wind energy. A large portion of the land in Wales is used for agricultural purposes, in which there are many crops available to be used as a fuel to generate biomass energy. However, as this does not effectively generate a lot of energy in a short period of time, Wales should also consider geothermal energy as one of the options. There are several volcanoes in Wales, which made it possible to develop geothermal energy. If it is successful, this type of renewable energy is not only cost saving, but is also one of the cleanest energy sources, which is a good option for Wales. Furthermore, Wales can consider using Wind energy, considering that it has a maritime climate and is quite windy. One drawback is that it might not be very sustainable, but I believe developing the three energy sources together will be the most effective way to generate energy.
